Both locally and internationally, the populations of wild birds have been receiving a real hammering in recent years, both from disease and destruction of habitat and food sources.
If you are able, please ensure that there is a ready supply of appropriate food and clean, fresh water available at all times; it is also very important to ensure that all feeders and bird baths/drinkers are kept clean and well scrubbed, in order to minimise the risks of diseases (including bird flu) spreading amongst wild birds.
