The Constables and the Douzaine are sad to report the passing away of Chris Elliott on 8th August 2024. He was a Douzenier of the Parish from 2016 until his recent resignation due to ill health.

Chris made a valuable contribution to the work of the Douzaine especially in connection with the parish’s heritage. With an interest in photography he documented all the Parish assets and monuments and had recently been instrumental in researching and proving ownership of the Barn next to the Church and confirming its Parish ownership dating back to 1909 and its more ancient history going back to the Duke of Richmond map of 1787.

His contribution to all Douzaine matters will be missed.
